In a new gang assessment report the FBI has made some rather shocking claims about the role hip hop music plays in gang culture. In the report the FBI states that rap related events are being used to launder drug money and recruit kids to be in gangs. The report also takes the time to single out the fanbase of Michigan rap-rock group "Insane Clown Posse"(also known as Juggalos) for some of the activity they may have been doing. The FBI says that some kids have been organizing, laundering money, selling drugs and committing acts of violence. They site that the one thing those particular kids have in common(outside of being from the same area) is that they're all fans of the same rap group. The FBI also says that gangs have become much more savvy than ever before and are using social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to organize and have some of their more tech savvy members online watching trends in law enforcement as a way to stay a step ahead of police.
