Song of the day

this time I'm going back to the area I know and love the best, the eastside of Detroit. the song of the day is a short one but a good one from stretch money called "the jungle". Don't sleep on this dude. Stretch Money may be the next one from the D to blow up on a national level and he has all the tools needed to be a huge star in the music industry

Kop A Chicken

But apparently a man was arrested for smuggling in chicken to the United States. Now you may be thinking "hey that doesnt make any type of fuckin sense" and you may be right but a man from Guatemala was arrested for carrying cocaine stuffed chicken into Dulles International Airport a few days ago. according to the cops he had over $4000 worth of cocaine stuffed into a roasted chicken and thus giving chefs everywhere new ways to use a ronco flavor injector

by the way this is the second day in a row i've been able to use an OJ da Juiceman song and not have it seem totally fuckin random now go Kop A Chicken

I need one of these

Behind the name change

as you can see I've decided to change the name of the blog from insanity on a computer screen(which is a fitting description of this blog) to the gangster government. I decided to change the name because it was time and its alot easier to say "gangster government" than insanity on a computer screen. it also fits perfectly because most of my topics on here revolve around gangsta rap, trap music, strett music and basically gangsta shit.....and politics with a healthy dose of sarcasm and madness. so.....how did i get the term gangster government? well thats simple. I got it from Michelle Bachmann's crazy ass. she's seriously nuts but she came up with one of the best terms ever even if it was being used as a negative towards the president

where the term originated

gangsta shit

High off hope and change

In Texas this week police seized a gang of E pills made in the shape of president Obama. shockingly enough this is not the first time that this has happened. as you may have noticed in the link above they come in all types of fun colors and are sold for $20 each. below is a video talking about the latest incident of people getting high off of hope, change and massive amounts of ecstasy

Below 1 video talking about the recent arrest and another video with a song that very much matches this situation

Jon Stewart goes in on the news

Jon Stewart took some time out of last night's episode of the daily show to talk about how president Obama basically didnt please anyone with his speech last night for several reasons. he didnt please conservatives because he didnt say shit like "we're gonna smoke em out" and he put a timetable on when we're gonna start leaving afghanistan(instead of the bush policy of letting it drag out long enough for the next guy to have to deal with) and alot of liberals felt betrayed because they want us out of afghanistan and didnt think he was going to up the troop levels there even though he mentioned it all through his campaign and laid out basically the same plan in mid 2008 that he laid out last night. Jon Stewart goes in on this lose/lose situation and cuts together 2 speeches that will please everyone or at least the news networks

It aint hip hop fault

Actor/Comedian/Best selling author and nationally syndicated radio host Steve Harvey recently sat down for an interview with rolling out magazine and discussed several things but in this clip he talks about the strained relationships between young black men and women and why and how we lost a huge level of respect. Shockingly he doesnt do what most people around his age would do when discussing the subject which means he didnt blame it on rap music. watch his explanation below

Video of the day

today its a 3 part video of the day. todays videos are 2 of the funniest videos i have ever seen on youtube. sure they may be 11 months old but damn its still funny and thats saying alot for youtube. to be honest with you i dont think i'll ever get tired of this because of the ridiculous satire but whats funnier is that there are people like this in real life and we all know them.

I never knew this

but apparently insurance companies have been exempt from anti trust laws since the mid 1940's. All of that is about to change if senator Pat Leahy has his way and honestly i hope he's successful. In a press release Leahy explained why he wants to take away their exempt status

Leahy said, “This amendment will prohibit the most egregious anticompetitive conduct – price fixing, bid rigging and market allocations – conduct that harms consumers, raises health care costs, and for which there is no justification. Subjecting health and medical malpractice insurance providers to the antitrust laws will enable customers to feel confident that the price they are being quoted is the product of a fair marketplace.”

this is not the first time he has tried to change the current unfairness of the exempt status but this time it seems to be picking up steam and its being co-sponsored by 18 other senators. if the amendment passes insurance companies will basically be forced to compete instead of just fixing prices and making customers either take it or leave it. Below is a list of people who have done the right thing by supporting or co-sponsoring the current amendment being offered up by senator Leahy

Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.)
Dick Durbin (D-Ill)
Russ Feingold (D-Wis)
Diane Feinstein (D-CA)
Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
Arlen Specter (D-PA)
Claire McCaskill (D-Mo)
Ron Wyden (D-Ore)
Al Franken (D-Minn)
Sheldon Whitehouse (D- R.I.)
Ted Kaufman (D -Del)
John Rockefeller (D - W.V.)
Roland Burris (D - Ill)
Michael Bennett (D - Colo)
Frank Lautenberg (D - NJ)
John Kerry (D - Mass)
Joe Lieberman (I - Conn)<---decided to not be a total douche this time

a dose of reality

as we all know theyre still "debating" healthcare reform in Washington DC. If these people had any sense this would've been done months ago and we'd have something near single payer or at least a very strong public option. Many people may be wondering why are people in congress so against us regular americans having an insurance option that doesnt come from a for profit insurance company. well the simple answers are 1. theyre soulless bastards and 2. theyre getting money hand over fist from the insurance companies. below I'm gonna list some of the people who have received the most from the insurance companies during campaign season(and after)

the top 10 senate recipients of insurance company money

1. John McCain - $319,494
2. Max Baucus - $213,400
3. Mitch McConnell - $211,200
