A couple of years ago,John Cusack was out promoting the movie "Grace is gone". As with every promo tour for a movie he had to do a ton of interviews and try his hardest to not look annoyed with being asked the same 6 questions by hundreds of people in several different languages. Normally none of this would be a big deal and no one would care. This time however was a little different. In an attempt to kiss up to a celebrity one student-journalist/film student decided to talk about how much she loved him and his movies.....and it gets hilarious from there. Song of the Day

This time its a double dip of classic hip hop music. When I think of the 4th of July I think of fireworks,grilling and tons and tons of patriots celebrating the freedoms we're allowed here in America. One of our greatest freedoms is the freedom of speech and these 2 songs have a lot to do with that freedom and how far we're really allowed to stretch that freedom. First up is "Banned in the USA" by legendary Miami hip hop pioneers the 2 Live Crew. The song is a response to a decision by a Florida court that ruled that their previous album was obscene and thus unfit to be sold. The decision would later be overturned by the supreme court. And yes before anyone asks or tries to point it out they sampled Bruce Springsteen.



Next up is the song "Fuck tha police" by NWA. At the time of its release it gained so much controversy that the FBI and Secret Service actually sent letters to express their displeasure over the song. The group was also banned from playing in several venues because of the song. Oh and the song was banned from radio despite the fact that there was a clean version of the song. Of course this song is kinda average(at best) on the scale of outrageousness that can be heard in music.

Glenn Beck Craziness

In today's edition our hero,the great and honorable Glenn Beck decides to speak on the people who founded America. Of course he has done that a lot in the past by pointing out people like George Washington,Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. On a few occasions he even pointed out that there were some black revolutionary war heroes. Of course he conveniently left out the whole part about slavery,blacks having no rights and the fact that raping a black woman wasn't even considered a crime back then. Today however is a little different from that because today he talks about our founding mothers. Since he is talking about the women that helped shape this great country he has to get an audience of women to help make him look like the great,upstanding crusader for the truth,justice and the American way that he is. Watch below as Glenn Beck kicks off a show that seems strangely similar to an episode of Oprah....to him.



Of course it didn't take long for Glenn to go off subject and start mocking women based on looks. Oh and he says that women were able to vote in the 1700's. Of course if you look up the history of Women's Suffrage in the United States you will see that he's telling 3/4 of a lie at best.



And in this last clip Glenn gets a little too engaged in a speech given by a woman with 8 grandchildren.



Of course this should come as no surprise to anyone. We all know that Glenn Beck loves the ladies.

Kinda posting just to be posting here but this is just annoying to me. In 2009 the president signed the "Lilly Ledbetter act" into law. The law makes it illegal for companies to pay someone less money simply because they happen to be a woman. During this same time lots of members of congress were opposed to paying people for the work that they do for some reason or another. One of those people opposing the "Lilly Ledbetter act" was Senator Jeff Sessions. Of course when he actually met Lilly Ledbetter he decided to change his tune and act as if he's the great crusader of women's rights. Watch this sudden change of heart below.
