In all seriousness I'm amazed that I even have to write this post. It really boggles the mind. With that said,I'm going to keep this one fairly short. As you may or may not already know, the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 is being amended to add extra protections against unfair,unjust and illegal discrimination based on race,gender and sexual orientation. It's also closing the loophole that allows women to be paid 20% less than their male counterparts for the same exact work. This is a bill that makes so much sense that you would think that there would be no political controversy or tomfoolery involved. Of course this being the United States congress, you'd be very wrong. In fact some members of the GOP are taking the time to completely block a vote on this issue. Click the picture below to be amazed and disturbed.
