Some good news

This may not have been on the cable news networks today but this is some truly awesome news for America. In particular it's great news for Michigan. The Obama administration recently awarded the state of Michigan $200million to upgrade rail lines and a piece of another $336 million to purchase high performance trains and equipment to build a high speed rail network between Detroit and Chicago. Just killing time here

I haven't posted anything in a while so I figure I should make up for that. Also,it happens to be mothers day and I figured this might get a few laughs out of everyone that sees this. With that said, click on the song below and enjoy. Feel free to post this on the facebook page of a hot mom that you happen to know.

Midnight Distraction

I've always had a weird interest in people who spend tons of time building things out objects such as cards or dominoes. I've always wondered how do they have the patience to do it and what compels them to start in the first place. I understand that completing a task like that can bring on a amazing sense of accomplishment but its a ridiculously tedious task. Watch below as one man nearly breaks a record for stacking dominoes. Look, enjoy and share with everyone.

Afternoon Distraction

In this edition Jon Stewart of the daily show goes after Donald Trump and Sarah Palin for being borderline retarded on a whole host of things during the week. Click on the video below, laugh and feel free to share this entire site with your friends.

You may have missed this

During the republican debates last night the question of gay marriage was raised. As expected all of them were pretty much against it in any way, shape or form. All except for Ron Paul who actually thought up a way to let the states decide on the issue. He's still a lunatic but check out this surprisingly sane answer from a man known for being psychotic.

Random Observation

Steve King is still retarded. Click on the photo to read his ridiculousness.

More fox fail

A few hours ago I posted this link which shows a horrible typo by the fox news channel when bringing the huge news of Osama Bin Laden being dead. Right now I'm gonna top that off by showing the most unfortunate news blooper ever by a local fox station. Click on the video below and be amazed at what happens.

If you missed it

If you somehow missed it earlier there was some pretty big news on tv. If you don't know what I'm talking about you may be the one person on the planet to not know about it. With that said here is president Barack Obama speaking about the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Just killing time here

Not too long ago news leaked that Osama Bin Laden had been killed by US troops. This is obviously the biggest news story in years and people are in a mildly celebratory mood after hearing about this event. Of course in their haste to get the news on the air and to the masses, news stations on occasion screw up. Fox News was the station to screw up tonight. Check out the photo below.

Half an accomplishment

Last year I put together a list of 23 things I wanted to do before I turned 24. So far I'm doing ok on that list but this isn't all about that. Yesterday I did something that I never thought I'd do. I participated in a 5K. It was my first time ever and it felt great. I actually want to do this repeatedly and finish in a better spot. I finished well within the top half of the crowd but now I want to be in the top 25%. Below is a list of things I noticed during the day.

1. Running with a partner is fun, really fun.

2. Its even more fun when she has a partner to run with you.

3. Taking off in a full sprint at the beginning of a 5k will hurt you.

4. We actually walked past a lot of people who just weren't in shape enough to do that 5k.

5. Michigan weather not only changes by the day but by the minute.

6. Belle Isle has absolutely stunning scenery.

7. The trees, buildings, fountains, statues and all that were nice too.

8. Running makes you look about 20 years younger than you actually are.

9. I should have worn running shoes but an extra pair of socks worked for me.

10. Did I mention that there were tons of women there?

11. Its almost distracting to see so many women in spandex stretching and bending in front of you.

12. About 3 miles in I realized that I really want to do this more often.

13. Some guys seemed a little too excited to start the race.

14. Never wear short shorts if you're a dude. Its just inappropriate.

15. I don't know how I resisted the urge to cheat.

16. I should have charged my MP3 player. The damn battery died on me.

17. Thanks #219 for taking me there.

18. Let's do it again someday soon.

19. I don't look as fat in that photo.

Random act of failure

I was walking around my neighborhood on Saturday, feeling like a total winner and just generally being in a good mood. It felt good to feel that good. In fact it feels good to think about feeling that good. Of course seeing this made me feel a lot better. Look, laugh, enjoy and realize that this is a sign in front of a high school.
