Changing history

America has had a long, strange, complicated and sometimes ugly trip to get to where it is today. We started out as a country where certain people were considered to be slightly less important than cattle while other people were having land stolen from them. Of course in the last 235 years we've changed a lot. We now have a society where most people get equal rights. People who once never thought of associating can now openly and freely associate. We've come to the point that we have a president who just happens to be black. The point of this is that America has made tremendous strides towards becoming an amazing society and we have a lot to be proud of. We shouldn't disregard some of the uglier parts of our history. Without the ugliness of our past the historic election of president Barack Obama would not have been a big deal at all. With all of this said there are a few people who would like to change the way we teach history just a little bit. These people feel that we're being a little too mean to the founding fathers for pointing out that while they fought for America to become free from the grips of English control they also felt it was perfectly ok to rob Native Americans blind and have slaves. To find out more about that click on the photo below and be amazed by the complete lack of logic.
