Due to running a political-ish blog I spend a lot of time watching cable news and yes on occasion C-Span. Usually C-Span is just live shots of the senate and house slowly deliberating and eventually filibustering bills. Sometimes on C-Span they'll let the viewer(s) call in and discuss the hot topics of the day. This is one of those occasions that goes horribly wrong.

The only thing that saves that woman is her admission that she is 90. It's hard to totally slam granny... now get in that kitchen and make me some cookies!

Now that's what I'd call a cool, collected guy. I would've been stammering all over myself. He didn't even blink.
And that poor woman. How sad to have lived that long and to still be that ignorant.
It sounds to me she is more ignorant than racist. She lived in a different era than we do now and I would hope younger folk would have a better grasp of where we should be now as a society. The use of the word "colored" kinda gives it away. You very rarely here that term used anymore. Thanks T
