The other day I blogged about how the state of Virginia was declaring April "confederate history month". Since then the story has been everywhere and Chris Matthews in particular has been really upset at the idea of honoring the confederacy. To be fair I completely understand why he is upset and its pretty much the same reason I'm upset. The confederacy was specifically formed because leaders in those states were upset about president Lincoln not wanting to expand slavery. The fact that Virginia wants to celebrate a bunch of anti-American slave owners who were so upset that someone came along and said "we shouldnt expand slavery" that they decided to secede from America makes Virginia look terrible to say the very least. Watch below as Pat Buchanan actually takes the side of the confederacy in a debate about the stupidity of confederate history month.
